xtar-vc4sl-cylindrical-battery-charger
Xtar VC4SL cylindrical battery charger
Charger for 4 AAA AA 18650 rechargeable batteries Xtar

VC4SL is a professional processor charger with three-stage TC/CC/CV charging process and LCD display. It charges 1-4 Li-ion 3.6 / 3.7V and Ni-MH cells of any capacity in sizes AAA/R03, AA/R6, R14/C, D, 10440, 14500, 14650, 16340, 17500, 17670, 18350, 18500, 18650, 18700, 20700, 21700, 22650, 25500, 26650, 32650. including protected 20700 and 21700 batteries.
The backlit VA LCD display of the Xtar VC4SL charger shows real-time information about the charger's operating status: battery charge expressed in mAh, battery voltage, charging current and internal resistance of the cell. In addition, the VC4SL charger has 2 other modes in addition to the charging function:
The "grade" mode allows you to show the exact capacity of the batteries. The charger in this mode charges the cells to full, then discharges them and then, charges them to full again. The charger shows the true capacity of the batteries (capacity from discharge) after the process is completed. Another function is the "storage" mode, where the charger does not charge the batteries to the end, but only to the optimal voltage threshold in order to extend the life of the lying cell.

What is the TC/CC/CV charging method? It is a three-stage charging process for Li-ion cells that ensures that the cell is kept in good condition by charging with the right current at each stage and completing the charging process at the right time.
The different stages of the TC/CC/CV process are:
- TC phase: cells discharged below 2.9V are 'awakened' with a lower current.
- CC phase: when the cell reaches 2.9V, it is charged with a constant current of 0.25A to 3A
- CV phase: when the cell is almost charged, the charger switches to charging with a decreasing current until the cell reaches 4.2V. When 4.2V is reached, the charging process is complete - the battery is fully charged.
The charged battery will undergo a natural self-discharge process if left in the charger. Charging will resume when the voltage on the battery drops below 3.9V.

Specification:
- Manufacturer: Xtar
- Model: VC4SL
- Supported battery types: 3.6-3.7V Li-ion batteries, unprotected, protected (with PCM/PCB), Ni-MH batteries
- Supported battery sizes: 10440, 14500, 14650, 16340, 17500, 17670, 18350, 18500, 18650, 18700, 20700, 21700, 22650, 25500, 26650, R03 / AAA,R6 / AA,R14 / C,R20 / D
- Input voltage: QC 3.0 (5V/2A | 9V/2A) - USB type C socket
- Maximum dimensions of charged battery (width x height): 26 x 76 mm
- Charging method: processor-controlled TC/CC/CV for Li-ion, processor-controlled CC with -ΔV/0ΔV/PVD for Ni-MH
- Charging current in CC (primary) phase: 0.25A / 0.5A / 1A / 2A / 3A
- Charging termination voltage: 4.2V ±0.05V
- Termination current for lithium cells: <120mA
- Reactivation of deeply discharged cells and 0V cells
- Protection: against charger overheating, overload / short circuit, reverse polarity of cells
- Charger modes: charging (Charge), capacity measurement in mAh (Test), internal resistance measurement in mOhm (Quick test), Storage - charging for battery storage
- Dimensions: 156 x 115.5 x 35 mm
- Weight: 212 g

Set contains:
- VC4SL charger
- USB type C cable
- Carrying case
- User manual

The Xtar VC4SL charger has a function to reactivate deeply discharged cells and cells with 0V. Simply insert a deeply discharged battery into the VC4SL charger as you would for normal charging - the charger will detect the discharged cell and attempt to reactivate it.
Note: cells discharged below a certain level are irreversibly damaged and may not be able to be reactivated. Avoid discharging Li-ion batteries too deeply - this can lead to a significant reduction in their life and capacity or lead to their complete failure.
The Xtar VC4SL charger comes with a USB type C cable and a carrying case for easy transportation of the charger. A power adapter is not included. Any charger with a USB socket will suffice to power the charger, (QC3.0 compliant charger recommended).

- Supports 20700 and 21700 protected batteries
- Charging of Li-ion batteries with processor-controlled three-stage TC/CC/CV charging process
- Charging of Ni-MH batteries using CC method
- Four independent charging channels
- Charging mode / grade mode (charge/discharge/charge) / storage mode
- 5 charging currents, manually selectable - 0.25A / 0.5A / 1A / 2A / 3A
- VA LCD display indicating charging capacity, cell voltage, charging current and internal resistance of the cell
- Powered by any charger compliant with QC3 standard.0
- Reactivation function for deeply discharged cells
- Protection: short circuit, thermal, reverse polarity
